Market Expansion & Brand Development

  • 2013:Expanded product offerings (Indian Rice, Instant Tea, Biscuits).
  • 2014:Introduced Vega Confectionary and Instant Coffee and launched Afriking brand for an African ethnic identity positioning. Became Official sponsor of Mochudi Centre Chiefs sporting council, local football club in Botswana, who became the league champions in the same year.
  • 2015:Entered the Vietnam market and expanded the product range (Sunflower Oil, Canned Fruit, Corn Sticks).
  • 2016:Expanded to the Philippines with durum wheat spaghetti.

(2006 - 2012)

Market Expansion & Brand Development

  • 2006:Established primary operations in Ghana, aired first Vega advertisement on TV & Radio.
  • 2007:Entered South Africa and Brunei, launched Vega Corned Beef.
  • 2008:Sponsored Ghana’s Beijing Olympics team, launched new products (Dairy products, Canned Fish, Canned Veggies).
  • 2009:Launched Supersavers brand.
  • 2011:Product Range Expansion with Vega Salad Dressings, Vega Ready to Eat & Vega Instant Coffee.
  • 2012:Entered Middle East Market.

(2002 - 2005)

Early Foundations & Birth of Vega Foods

  • 2002:Began OEM food trading and launched Pavani in Cameroon.
  • 2003:Officially launched the Vega Brand.
  • 2004:Repositioned the Pavani brand.
  • 2005:Founded Vega Foods in Singapore, rebranded with Saatchi & Saatchi, launched flagship products.
